<p>Yale received a record 22,528 applications this year for the class of 2012, the admissions office announced Wednesday. </p>
<p>The number of applicants increased by 16.6 percent over last year's total, Dean of Undergraduate Admissions Jeff Brenzel said.</p>

<p>No but don't they generally remain constant at what they usually are? Yale's is pretty much 9% but I foresee that they'll probably use more of the waitlist then ever before.</p>
