Hello. As a future Trojan, I was wondering how recreational sports were at USC. I heard that quite a lot of students participate in intramural sports, so I was wondering if it was easy to join in on a sport. I'm just curious about the whole recreational sports scene at USC. Any input about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You could check this out: http://www.usc.edu/student-affairs/IMREC/.

For intramurals, they do have HICCUP sports, where each dorm forms its own team for different sports and they compete against each other. Each bldg govt has its a HICCUP coordinator, who is either elected or volunteers, and they make the arrangements for HICCUP sports.

Join the Ping Pong Posse! :D

Any volleyball players out there?

They don't seem to have a figure skating club :(

...yet

Well, I was reading through that website redski59 (thank you) provided, and I think you can start a Figure Skating Club.

sfgiants, I couldn't stop laughing after I saw someone doing the "Flying Ostrich" or whatever it was called. Haha.

Anyone know anything about the badminton team? The link on the site isn't working :(

Also, I've read conflicting things about USC having a riflery team. The website doesn't seem to indicate that there is one, but I swear I read in one of the USC mailings that there is/was a team? Or is this just for the ROTC students?

For badminton: http://www-scf.usc.edu/~badminto/

Thanks a lot! For some reason I couldn't get the USC IM/club sports link to work.

Hehe, I actually know that guy. He hosted me in his dorm for four days a couple of weeks ago when I was visiting. :) He even brought me to the New/North ping pong table to play some welt pong. :D

On the topic of ping pong, USC needs to form a team for the World Series of Beer Pong. Yup, you heard me right. 10,000 first place prize too. http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2006/Jan-08-Sun-2006/news/5208708.html
