I am a sophomore looking to attend an Ivy league college. I am competitive academically for these schools but I was wondering if my track times were appropriate for competition at this level.
My prs are:
1600- 5:02
3200-11:01
Of course, I'm only a sophomore so my times will hopefully drop by graduation.
Also, please provide information about how the recruitment process works. I haven't really received any letters from promising schools.

Hi Runnergirl - first off, your times are good. If you drop them a bit, so much the better, of course. Others here are more dialed into the distance world, but I think a top academic student that’s in the 10:50/5:00 range is potentially recruitable int he Ivies, When Abby D’Agostino was a HS soph she had a 5:02 mile.
You say that you’re competitive academically - great - keep it up. SATs are going to be big - 700 per section is pretty safe ground.
If you haven’t received letters from promising schools - they’re limited to what they can send to a HS soph. You’ll want to reach out to the programs that interest you via emails to coaches. The track recruiting timetable isn’t as early as some other sports - at this point if you were to call a coach he’d probably be very encouraging and tell you to stay in touch (he can’t call you back, btw). Fall of junior year. after you have some test scores under your belt, starts the more serious recruiting conversations. Good luck!
