For those of you recruited for running, can you please post some of your running stats?
Thanks

i wish i were recruited for track, but unfortunately im way off of the times that college teams are looking for.

I do the mile and the 800 with pr's at 4:55 and 2:12.

Friend of mine graduated last year, runs track for a DIII school and I remember his 800 time was just under 2min, hope that helps.

Do you understand how much a sub 2:00 for the 800m is?

If you make it to state championships for Track, you probably will be recruited.

for any of your running related questions

what would be a DIII mile time?

To have a good chance of being recruited for DIII, you probably would have to be sub 4:25-4:30.

damn then to go DI would be like what 4 minutes?

Lol no. No hser has gone sub 4 since Alan Webb. DI would probably be around 4:10-4:15.

LOL Flare, you got PWNd!

OMG I know a guy who runs sub-2 am I going to die?

^Yes, your mind shall explode.

A sub 2:00 is sprinting the entire thing. It's not something a regular person could do unless there were cops chasing him/her.

Not sprinting if his 400m PR is 53-54 :)

Division I 800 time if you wanna get recruited: sub 1:55

^it really depends on what school though.... im pretty sure even a 2:00 800m could get recruited by a DI school. of course it won't be ucla or anything

yes flare did get pwned he still needs to drop another minute at least from his mile time to be even close to getting recruted

My friend was a recruited cross country runner. Penn State, William and Mary, and Bucknell tried to recruit her. She chose Bucknell. Her two mile is 11:19.47

my best friend was recruited to Duke with a half scholarship.
her mile was 4:58 around there

^seriously??? that seems slow.... especially for a half-scholarship. even chris derrick is only getting a half from stanford.

4:58 is pretty darn good for a girl's mile time. That does seem weird that Derrick's only getting half, then again just look at how many great runners are going to Stanford next year.
