Recruiting Visit

Hi,

I have taken 3 visits this year for sports to D1 schools. They all followed NCAA protocol but I am wondering what happens when you visit a Service Academy for a recruiting visit? I know from reading these forums the CVW is structured what about the athletic visit?

I was not allowed to practice with the teams while I was there (recruits could practice after the team) i went to class and there were 10 of us. Seems silly to ask I know but the school visit will probably look much different that a SA visit. For example when I went to a UC school we went down to the beach. At another school the dorm had a movie night.....

What does an official visit look like at a service academy?

Thanks!

p.s. I swim

My daughter is a swimmer at Navy. She has hosted a number of "drags" (their affectionate term for recruits). This weekend, the recruits saw a home swim meet. On Saturday, she took hers to the football game, then a hockey game last night. The coaches will usually take the recruits out for a meal at some point. A lot depends on what is going on around the yard that weekend. You are right, you won't be able to swim with the team. Since mids have to be back in the hall by midnight, there isn't a lot of night time action.
