<p>Does anyone know if West Point "recruits" for anything but athletics? I.E. - do they recruit for club sports or musical instruments? I don't think I have a shot for varsity athletic recruitment, but I might if they recruit for other activities.</p>

<p>I believe that athletes are the only true “recruits”. WP does look for well rounded candidates, but they also look for a mix of those who excel in certain areas. A typical class will have a mix of 20-25% scholars, 20-25% leaders, 20-25% athletes and 12-15% soldiers.</p>
