Here's the situation. I've always been on an accelerated math track starting in 6th grade. As a result, I took Alg 2H in 8th grade, Precal H in 9th grade, and AP Calculus BC in 10th grade.

Right now I'm in AP Stats (junior year). The thing is, I don't particularly like my Stats teacher and I don't think she will get to know me enough to write my rec. Furthermore, my Calc BC teacher taught me Alg 2H when I was in 8th grade (I had to travel to the high school to take Alg 2, and then travel back to my middle school for the rest of my 8th grade courses). There is also a high possibility I will be on the math club board this year, and VP or P of math club senior year. Would it be acceptable if I asked my sophomore math teacher (the Calc teacher) for my rec though typically schools want the junior year teacher? Schools I'm looking at are HYPS, mainly.

I know it's kind of early, but it was just something I had on my mind.
