Rec's sophomore year?

I have a great relationship with my English teacher and I'm thinking about asking her to write me a rec, but I'm a sophomore, so would colleges frown upon rec's from sophomore teachers and prefer ones from junior teachers?

Thanks

Don't worry about who to ask for recs until end of your junior year at the earliest. You've still got about 2 years before you need to begin applications, and you might find yourself having great relationships with your junior teachers next year; if not, you can always come back to this English teacher.

It depends on the college. Some are very specific about which teachers you can ask. However, you can generally include an additional recommendation so you can probably use this recommendation in addition to some junior year teachers. You might want to check the admissions websites for some colleges you are interested in and see what they require. For the colleges I've looked into the requirements vary quite a bit. Congratulations on depending such a good relationship with a teacher.

thanks guys
