Recs

If a college/university wants a recommendation from a counselor, does it have to be or can i get one from a teacher instead, i have a teacher already and my counselor hates me so, i was wondering if i can get a teacher to write me one?

Usually schools want 2 teacher recommendations and 1 counselor report

how do they know if its a counselor, and does it matter?

Not necessary a “counselor” title person, but any other school officials who can do the school report should be fine if I remember correctly.

It has to be from a person who is not only familiar with you and your schedule/accomplishments but also those of your classmates and students before you. The purpose of the rec is to show where you stand compared to others.

Will getting a rec from an administrator be any more beneficial than from a teacher. I am close with this admin, as well as the teacher

this blows cause my counselor doesnt like me very much and he doesnt know anything about me even if i go to him for everything
