recycling essays, does everyone do it?

My main common app essay is quite personal and quite general, and it seems to fit fine into another school's (don't use common app) essay topic.

will recycling most, if not all of the essay, a good plan to do? like will that school know i recycled it?

I heard that they can sometimes tell, but most everyone I know does it. who the heck has time to write 10+ essays, you know?

modify a little. don't use the exact prompt unless it's the exact promtp.

If you've written a good one, why bother writing another when you don't need to? Unless you enjoy writing college essays, of course.

Why not recycle it?
Less essays = more time spent on them = better quality essays

of course. besides some essays just talk about u not the college so it's fine. I did that for my early schools.
