I've heard that the collegeboard recycles subject test, like yesterday's bio one was from 2008.
Do they always recycle tests? like, will the june test be recycled too?

No one knows. It COULD be recycled, it could be a new exam. They’re random like that.

No way could yesterday’s test have been from 2008! That was last year, hello. Thats WAY too recent. Anyway, I dont think they recycle tests. The SAT likes to test on certain topics, ie genetics/heredity more than, say, body systems. The questions might seem similiar enough to say they that they are the same, but I really dont think the entire test are the same, that woudl be a little extreme.

They have been known to recycle a few. Now, the chances of a student that took it last year and takes the same test are slim. (Not many people take the same subject twice or trice over the span of 1 year, maybe in 2 consecutive months). And if it does repeat, would the student remember the test? The student would need amazing memory, and if they did have amazing memory, they would’ve already gotten 800 the first time (for most subjects).

They do it’s a fact.
lolcats said that the lit test that I took yesterday was the one that they took in OCTOBER. That seems impossible, but I trust their word.
Even if they meant Oct '07, that is still way too recent in my opinion, but they are also cheap baztards.

I highly, highly doubt the Collegeboard recycles entire tests. It just doesn’t make sense to do that. They definitely recycle test questions, but not entire tests.

No they definitely recycle ENTIRE tests, (which is why there are like NO released exams, 1-2 for each? that’s a ridiculously low number)
It’s sad but true

I don’t believe that. Sorry.

It’s fine, most facts are hard to believe XD

Haha, good point. If I end up retaking the test I took yesterday, I won’t mind seeing the exact same one the next time around. Fingers crossed, haha.

They do recycle tests. Biology test on last January was EXACTLY the same test as 2008 May test. Check out two threads. I did not know this after the discussion was held (for january 2009 BIo) and people said that it was the SAME test.

I just read that May Bio 09 was same as Jun07, so ya, THey do

einnob. That’s not correct.

A certain literature exam taken in the later portion of this year was a repeat of something from the end of 08.

I’d rather not mention exact names because I know College Board would flip if it gets out that we can just study previous tests.

It simply does happen OP, and even if not, they might repeat questions from one test to another the next month.

I do remember a story that like in 08 or 07 there was a test–might have been Lit or Math II–that was repeated the month right after.

A load of kids (on sites like this) had been reading the threads to get a prep out. They got a wonderful surprise…

lol if I have to retake any of mine I will definitely NOT be reading through the old threads ;)

@dohyunee: Whoever told you that’s a liar. They weren’t the same at all. I took both.

they definately recycle tests, even SAT Is. I gave the June 2008 SAT 1. My classmates who gave the October SAT 1 got the exact same test except for the essay which was changed. If only I had retaken lol.

well its possible, i mean they have to fill certain quotas and percentage distributions for each test so after adding new questions they may add old ones in to balance out the distribution
