is there an alternative to the red book ? like what's the NEXT best book out there? i know Barron's is awesome for math but is there another book, other than the red book, that will OVERALL be as good as the red book ?

i hope that made sense

No…the red book is made by the creators of the ACT therefore it is the most accurate prep book for the ACT. You can get supplementary books but none of them will have the same accuracy level as the red book.

Barron’s books have a reputation for having questions much more difficult than those in the real exams. Whether this is a good thing or not is up to you.

@AsianDoctor can you tell us why you want an alternative? Do you want more material to study or maybe you don’t like the Red Book for some reason?

i was just curious… @banjoandstuff

ACT 36 (Barron’s) as well as the overall ACT Barron’s which you mentioned are really the only other books besides the red that are good for prep. My experience with PReview is that it under prepares you for the test (I did princeton for my SAT subjects once and I regret that), but then again I just didn’t PReview for ACT after my experience with their SAT Subject prep
