Red Book vs. Online Prep

Is the new ACT Prep Book–the red one put out by the ACT-- the same tests and info as the “Online Prep” bundle they offer when you’re registering for the test? How useful is the Online Prep bundle? It says it has practice questions, but are they the same ones that they give you in the red book? Is the online prep worth the extra $58?

Does anyone know?

Honestly, the only valuable thing that the book offers is a few strategies that you might already know. Head to a library and read through it and go online and practice using official tests from the past. Spending $60 on a book filled with common sense advice like “use a process of elimination” and questions that don’t reflect the content of the ACT well is not worth it.

Thanks for the response. The red book actually has 3 practice tests in it. This is the official ACT practice book I’m referring to–it is put out by the ACT (I think I paid $25 for it or something like that). I’m just wondering if their online practice bundle is a repetition of the red book or something that would supplement it?
