I read somewhere about someone shadowing on a Red Carpet day. Does anyone know how to include this in your day?

Sorry for the confusion - Red Carpet Day and the HOST visits (shadowing) are two different things. You can get more info and register for a HOST visit at [Day Visits: Visit IU: Office of Admissions: Indiana University Bloomington](http://admit.indiana.edu/visit/dayvisit/index.shtml).

We originally registered for the Red Carpet Day on Mon, March 4 because we were already going to be in Bloomington for Connect with Kelley on March 1-2 and DD has no school on March 4. Then she got an email on Jan. 11 about the Hutton Day Host program, to shadow a Hutton Honors student. So she requested to do that on Mon, March 4 instead of Red Carpet Day. Now it turns out she will shadow her HH student in the afternoon so we will still attend the Red Carpet events in the morning. And while they send invitations to HH students for the HOST program, any high school senior can register for the program by following the instructions online. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much, stbemptynest. I am looking forward to finding out if there is a HOST program for premeds. My DS is my oldest. I am new at this and appreciate the help. We are from Lake County. What is your DD interested in studying?

@ilhoosiermom, we’re in Cook County. I know, that narrows it down to about 40% of the population of Illinois. Right now DD is interested in majoring in Management (Kelley School of Business) with a minor in Spanish. She is interested in a career in Human Resources. This is all subject to change at any time! DD is our one-and-only, so our oldest and youngest, and thus my (misspelled) screenname “stbemtpynest”. I’m just obsessed with poking around the IU website and CC threads so I don’t miss any info that might be useful in making the transition to college.

bookmark, thanks

There is also a Kelley host program if anyone is interested. It played a big part in my decision to attend IU.
