I odn’t see any red flags except science. You kept an english, math, and language throughout, and took science (except sophomore/junior year). I’m not sure how two years of science only looks. I think they recommend three at least. I can tell you like the humanities over science, but you should probably take something like anatomy & phys. or chemistry/physics. Otherwise, you have a rigorous courseload.

I agree - science is a red flag. Most colleges want three years of science, the most competitive colleges expect four years. If you have a good reason for this, it will need to be addressed by either you or your counselor.

You need at least 3 years of science, including the “big three”-Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Lack of science is definitely a problem - plus, the two sciences you do have are essentially the same thing (bio).

^ Agree with japanmedlover that you need to take Chem and Physics.

physics and chemistry lol?

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been thinking. I took Chemistry at the Northwestern CTD program for credit the summer between sophomore and junior year, does that count for a year of science?

why did you take AP studio art twice?

It will count as a year of science I believe. It will show colleges you had more than just biology. Did you take it for school credit? In my school you need three years of science to just graduate.

@PBailey: There are three types of AP studio art, Studio Drawing, Studio 2D design, and Studio 3D design.

I’m not sure if your chemistry course counts, but you might want to find that out in a hurry - you don’t want to find out that it doesn’t count when your HS is telling you that you haven’t got the science credits to graduate… :P

I know I’ve got enough to graduate. The Northwestern course won’t count for credit at my school (long story) but it’s accredited and stuff. I emailed a few colleges and asked if they counted it, and they said yes, but i didn’t really get a straight answer out of any of the selective schools besdies Northwestern, and they are of course a little biased, since it’s their course. I’m trying to get through an independant study in physics at my sschool, but no reply so far. None of you would happen to know of any distance-learning physics courses for credit, would you? Something cheap? I’ve got about three hundred dollars saved.

I don’t know about cheap, but there are a lot out there.

Did you get college credit from Northwestern for the course?

I got honors high school credit for it.
