redrover- can cornell trace your posts back to you?

i was just wondering-
since i'm signed up to redrover using my cornell netID,
if i put up anything stupid, and cornell sees it, can they trace it right back to me?
sometimes i like to joke around rather flippantly and i'm just wondering....
if i should stop :P

Yes, everything can be traced back to you, but unless you are engaging in illegal activities, I highly doubt you would be investigated.

Anything stupid like what?

there have been subpoenas served to cornell students by NBC and RIA or w/e…

you know, making stupid comments or pirating movies and such.
dang it. no more paying 50 cents per season.

You will learn when you get to campus about movies, etc.

So don’t engage in torrenting.

But I doubt making stupid comments would land you in any trouble. Although nowadays you never know.

don’t pirate when you have dc++ :p

@shapiro

where do u think most of the content on there comes from?
