Reduced Pell Grant Questions

I'm starting FSU in the fall, and I received the Bright Futures Medallion scholarship, and the full Pell grant. Up until 2 days ago, the amount I had revived for PG was over $5,000. All the sudden, the other morning I checked and now I'm only receiving $2,696. I'm enrolled in 12 credit hours, which is considered full time at FSU. What's the reason the reduction?

YOur pell grant has not been reduced. your annual allocation is over $5000. Since your school operates on a semester system; it will be disbursed $2,696 in the fall term and $2,696 in the spring term

I’m aware my school disburses by semester. Now, instead of receiving $2,797.50 a semester, I’m only receiving $1,348 a semester.

You need to look and see if your EFC changed. There may have been a correction. Your BF award won’t change Pell. Your EFC determines Pell. Yours may have changed after a correction.

In addition, are you sure that you are registered for 12 credits? it looks like your semester disbursement has been cut in half

^^^

maybe her FA was adjusted when, at one point, she was enrolled in less than 12 credits, but then she added credits and her Pell hasn’t been readjusted?

It looks like perhaps your EFC has been increased to between 2001 and 2100. The annual full time award for this range is $2696. Was your file selected for verification? Or did you recently make a change to your FAFSA that resulted in an increased EFC? Your original award is for the EFC range 1 to 100.
