Ok, that was my D, who actually did call admissions on Saturday but doesn’t have enough initiative to get her own CC account. Ahem.
I honestly can’t imagine why they would only let a few admitted students know. We probably got waitlisted… Well… Smith did let the applicants that were at the top of the applicant pool know like a week ahead of the other applicants this year. Fingers crossed reed did this too. Does anyone know if Reed sent any rejections on Friday?

Yes, some people on here said they had friends who were rejected. I was surprised though that no CC members at all posted that they were rejected.
Hey guys, I was accepted friday night via email as well, but would like to post my stats for other students applying and hopefully someone will benefit.
ACT: 33(E31 M30 R34 S36) one sitting
SAT: None provided
GPA: Unweighted - 3.6 Weighted - 6.5
Class rank: no school rank, but top 3% of county out of 12500
Classes: AP - bio, chem, french, literature, calculus (but have also taken some others in the past) IB: Hl English, Hl Biology, Hl Comprehensive History, Sl French, Sl Math and Sl Chemistry, TOK
Essay: My essay was an interesting essay focusing on the queer nature of Portland and specifically the situation of Reed’s rankings. I related it to why Reed should accept me and also I brought in my “philosophy” class, Theory of Knowledge.
Extracurriculars: in terms of community service I had like ten different events or foundations that I worked with as I really actually enjoy helping the area and I accumulated a ton of hours. In sports I had four years of golf, with three years as captain, played soccer and I had one year of varsity crew rowing. I also placed twice in regional marine science bowls and participated in french foreign exchange programs. I also stated my interest in the culinary arts.
Hooks: first gen college student
I am quite a quirky guy, and I do a lot of activities, so I wanted to show it throughout my entire application process.
I am also a white male from south Florida from a large public school, but an IB program. Need was pretty high, so I am searching for a good financial package.
Other Colleges: Accepted - Reed and University of South Florida, Wait list - Colgate University, Denied: Williams College and Wesleyan University, Waiting: Columbia
I was pretty depressed about my rejections, but Reed is a bit of hope for my last letter to come.

Only one or two people posted that they knew people who’d been rejected via email. I’m worried that it is email for acceptances and maybe some specific rejects and snail mail for most rejects. I hope not!!

I think it’s safe to assume we didn’t get in if we didn’t get the email… 
a mixture of annoyed/sad that i didn’t get the email yet… i doubt reed got so many applicants that they had to send it over a span of days…

They probably would not send them until the office is closed for the day. It’s 4:15 PDT right now
they sent them around 5 PDT on Friday. Hopefully that’s the case today

In the worst case, you should get an email tomorrow.
Be patient. You’ve waited this long already. Waiting for one more day isn’t going to kill you.
