Hello, I am considering these two schools since I have been accepted. I am planning on majoring in Biology/Bioc hem. Which school would you recommend? I would like a school where I am surrounded by very nice people with interesting stories, who are willing to engage in non-superficial, mind blowing dialogues. I crave for a community where people do not only speak, but strive for action. People who are risky, but also reliable. I am also hoping that the college confidential community will provide the negative qualities of each school as well. Will I have the time to study abroad if I major in Bio Chem? Finally, what is campus life like at these two schools? It is to my understanding that these campuses are beautiful, but aside from that, what do people do on weekdays/weekends? Do people date at these schools?

You have not been accepted to both yet as Lewis & Clark may have an EA program, but Reed doesn’t.

Although there are course other considerations, I think Reed has a more national reputation than Lewis & Clark.

Haha yeah Reed only has early decision, which would be binding, and mean you’re couldn’t really consider Lewis and Clark even if you got accepted

I deferred…

I’m sure noone dates at either of those schools. Reed is seen as a more difficult school (work hard, play hard). Both schools have very vital student clubs (including extensive outdoor events activities). Students from both schools take advantage of Portland on the weekends. I would recommend visiting both if possible because they feel very different. DD2 didn’t like Reed while DD1 loved it. DD2 attends L&C.
