Ah man I got waitlisted, probably because my efc is 0. I wasn’t really planning on goin there anyways. I had a 4.4 gpa (full ib) and a 1400 sat. It may have been my sat.

Could have shown more interest (but drove all the way to Philly from DC to interview - shouldn’t that be enough interest??)

Was really looking forward to rereading Invisible Man :confused: and really liked Reed :confused:

i got my admissions package a couple days ago and im super excited :slight_smile: but im super surprised and didn’t expect to get in, especially looking at the stats of a lot of people who were waitlisted/denied

study abroad to shanghai, speaking competition, tennis and basketball for 3 years, president of asian culture club, senior class secretary, chess club vp, science camp counselor 2 years

asian/white male oos (california)

commonapp essay is about showing emotion–outlining a time i cried with my dad, masculinity theme

supp essay was about my horrible procrastination and the ways i fixed it

visited Reed over the summer

average ECs with some officer positions, and one study abroad trip
good essay and really good LORs
didn’t visit or do an interview
really low efc

kinda disappointed, I did get into a better school in the northeast but the location of Reed is more attractive to me !
