Reed Regular Decision 2022

@FrankieG I guess it’s the “[In regards to RD decisions] with offers of admission sent out in March or April” part on that same web page that causes some confusion.

@Hizeus Yeah, I know! They couldn’t possibly make it clear cut and straightforward, right?! Son says that his friend at Reed said that those who get accepted will receive a box in the mail (no email), i.e., “old school”, as it were. Whereas, those that don’t get accepted will receive a letter in the mail (no email). I have no idea if this is true or consistent with years past, it’s just what my son’s Reedie friend relayed. He didn’t say anything about the portal.

Who doesn’t love the waiting game?!?!

@FrankieG Please does this method of notification apply to international students as well?

Historically they do all decisions through mail. I just wish we knew when they’re shipping them. Hopes to it being soon, good luck everyone!

akwasi625,

Last year international students were notified via e-mail. That doesn’t mean that’s the way it will happen this year, though…

Has anyone called the admissions office recently to ask if they’ve shipped decisions?

Late to the party, but email snail mail or portal today??
And when should we (international students) be expecting it??

Historically they do all acceptances (with the exception of international students) through snail mail. I believe rejections and wait lists are historically through email. All international decisions are all through the portal system. But it seems as though they’re changing things around a bit this year. @“Arhin Jeffery” This time last year I believe most applicants had heard back, so it seems as though they’ve mixed it up this year.

@agfavista1600 Maybe someone should call to see if they’ve shipped them. This is late compared to last year and the anticipation is killing me!

Hey everyone,

I’m excited to get my decision!!! Does anyone know when and how we’ll receive decisions?

I hate the stress of waiting for the mail lol.

I wrote about memes in my supplement, so I can’t wait to see if that risk paid off.

@baylin I wholeheartedly would have loved to be the admissions officer to read that.

Anyone hear anything yesterday?

On reddit a few have said decisions will come out through portal/email on 4/01, not sure if that’s true

Reed has been so vague about decisions and it’s making me so anxious.

Checked my FedEx account and I have a package postmarked from Reed! Someone on reddit did as well

Any international students got any phone calls from fedex?

(I haven’t)

@baylin writing about memes… that’s great… well the word was coined by Richard Dawkins so it does have a scientific origin!

@wilsnbenj Where on reddit? I can’t find anything.
