Reed Transfers Fall 2017

@BlackMagic81 Great catch! I hadn’t read that part of their site, I’ll send them an e-mail right away :slight_smile:

I think for the time being they can “accept” it, or at least consider it for admission purposes. You’ll definitely need the official one sent by June 15th I’d imagine. Maybe you can talk to your current school and see what can be done?

@AGoodFloridian Yup I’m going to contact the school and see what they can do. Hopefully it’ll work out.

Just visited the campus the other day and coming from such different scenery, I have to say that Portland is hands down the most beautiful place I’ve been to in the U.S (which haven’t been many but…). So many trees, so much green… verdant hills of evergreen. and ohmygod the campus was just <3.

remember, though: you are in school during the year, not during the summer. It’s hard to appreciate Portland when you have to look down all the time while walking.

@International95
:)) I do remember you from the 2020 RD thread. The tour guides were asked about the weather and responded honestly. After around September the weather gets to a point where its mostly overcast and rainy, but not enough rain to warrant the use of an umbrella. A little gloomy apparently.

Any change of scenery is welcome for me hahaha, starting to get sick of the palm trees and shrubs here!

They updated their site with the “Transfer II” deadlines. I looked through the past threads but haven’t seen any mention of this second deadline, so I wonder if it’s the first time they’re implementing it.

I’ve already submitted my applications, hoping for the best. Everything is already in order at my current college if things don’t work out~

Tomorrow should be the notification day (their site said July 15th, but I’ve never seen them release decisions over the weekend). I’ve got my fingers crossed!

I don’t want to be dramatic but if I’m not admitted this time around - for a second time - then I’m not sure I’ll be applying again. I say that because of Reed’s particular curriculum, it seems like it’d be pretty difficult for a junior to jump right into it. Wish me luck guys!

today’s the notification day right? has anybody received anything?

@noodleobsessed I haven’t. And according to the site, yes, Strangely enough, the deadlines for the “Transfer II” batch have all been removed from the site (you can still see where it says “Transfer I”). This happened about two weeks ago. I had a suspicion that the decision day would be slightly postponed so I called them and they said that if we don’t hear back today, we can call them to find out the decision.

So I reckon the decision will either come out in a few hours from now, or perhaps Monday morning. Did you also apply to the Transfer II batch?
