Don’t want to be a buzz kill to a funeral. But not getting into Reed could very well be a blessing in disguise.
Reed is still very much so the school it was in 2010 when federal courts ordered the college president to crack down on the toxic party culture at the school. More importantly, Reed hasn’t evolved from the PHD prep school model leaving non-PHD bound students woefully underprepared for the modern economy.
Send your children to a less prestigious school and let them thrive professionally.
@YungCounselor93, that’s not my experience. True, many Reed grads get PhDs. But not all do. I have met many with very successful careers in everything from journalism, architecture, finance, and everything in between.
