refrigerators

I was looking at renting a refrigerator for my dorm. Is Micro 101 solutions the best option to rent? Also, is it better to have a refrigerator or a combo freezer/refrigerator? How about size? I am in a modular dorm so I have a little more room.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Walmart had a nice GE combo fridge/freezer on sale in today’s paper for $139 (I think). My son got a similar Emerson for $150.

I think buying one is about the same price as renting for a year…

The advantage of renting is you don’t have to move it.

Would you actually use the freezer? I bought a nice refridgerator from Target that had a decent sized fridge with a little freezer compartment as well for $94. It was like 3.9 cubic ft (the limit is 4.3 cubic ft.). Pretty good price for the size. (: But my dorm was on the first floor, so I didn’t really have to haul it up the stairs. xD

Another good thing about the ones you can rent is that they also have a microwave.

I think it’s better to buy one if you don’t mind taking it home when you move out. You have 4 years ahead of you and you’re gonna need a fridge all 4 years. Even if you move off-campus, it’s nice to have a mini-fridge for your room.
