Let's say that a student has bright futures 100%. If that student has extra scholarhips(i.e. $1000 for one and $700 per semester), does he get a refund check? In other words, since bright futures covers all tuiton costs, what happens with extra scholarship money?

even with BF, UF still costs about 10k a year. i'd put it towards that (housing, food plan, etc). but if, for example, you got 11.7k per year, then yeah, i think you would get a check for it.

thanks, that's what I meant. If it costs 10k and you have more than that in scholarships, would you get that extra money back. anyone else has experience with this?

Yes, they will either write you a check for the amount, or you can set up a Wachovia account that is linked to the UF accounting and it will be transfered in.

you can transfer the money into any bank account.

ksanders, I guess the reason they told us Wachovia is because it is on campus. The bank he was with before does not have branches in FL, so that may have been the issue.
