Refusal for internationals

Is there any one here(international) who has actually recieved a refusal. Was it by Fedex or mail?

Thx

hey i doubt if the rejected internationals have received anything yet. They wouldn't use FEDEX to mail a letter to those internationals. Second, since the accepted ones said that they received their FEDEX on Monday, with the letter dated 18th, I believe the internationals (those who are far away) will receive them on 24th/25th (i.e. later on this week) if the admission office mails them out through regular mail.

My friend has received hers on the 19th of March, postmarked 14th but letter dated 18th. I am waiting for mine now.... The international specialist told me that whether i have received the fedex now has NOTHING to do with the decision.

Hey mobstermobi, does this mean that I can still have a glimmer of hope for admission???I havent recieved anything.........

I have the same question. I am an applicant from Taiwan and study in mainland China. You may say it is for the long distance or the regular mail, but many Hong kong applicants have received their AD. I really doubt my admission chance now.

Seriously, i dont know....i, myself are waiting for the decision with my heart in my mouth

I'm in the same boat, my mailing address is in Mexico ... this is eating a hole in my stomach, I swear.

lilybbloom, have u gotten anything from UW-madison? if u havent u'd better call on mon, wed, fri, after 2pm that is when the int'l admission counselor is around. I have to call them and request for duplicate check.

I am thinking of attacking Fedex local office now and check if there is a mail for me from Evanston, IL...hehehehehehe....

sorry but frankly fedex is the most efficent delivery service in the world and so by now any fedexed from NW would be received except to some real far out places but for Europ / Asia its all delivered... unless they didnt mail them all out the same day.

mobster, I emailed them today insisting (politely) that they let me know what is going on. this effing sucks, what is WRONG with them? September 28th!!!

I didn't expect to get in to NU but this still really hurts ... man. And my poor mom is going to have to give me a call when the rejection letter comes around.

Right so called UW Madison again, the woman told me that OH they made the decision today. And her voice was horribly apathetic, she was like 'oh, you'll be getting your letter in a few days.' I could tell she felt sorry for me. How could this have happened? Madison was supposed to be my SAFETY school. If I'm not in it has to be because they took so damn long to process my application and there wasn't any room. What do you think?

stop trying to guess somebody's voice and just wait for the actual letter...

Lilybbloom, you can actually check whether u r accepted by UW-Madison online using your campus ID and password? Message me if you need assistance. hahaha thanks all the best

It's finally marked as 'complete' on the website. Now let's see how long it takes to get the letter and/or have my decision posted on the website. Thanks for the offer, mobster, but I've been logging on every 5 minutes for the past 3 months :)

U r most welcome. Hope we can get NU together, we can meet up there also hahaha. All the best for UW-madison too. Keep me informed ya?

hehehe yeah, good luck to you!

one of my friend received rejected mail. it was not fedex.

Well, I am an international and I thought receiving no FedEx last week meant refusal for sure, but yesterday I found a "Congratulations" line on my record.
I live in Bulgaria (that's in Europe), and still have nothing in my mailbox from NU as well.

I'm starting to think that they have FedEx-ed only those admitted intls who got financial aid awards sufficient to cover their needs. I would need A LOT of money.

Maybe some of you guys who have been FedEx-ed can tell me if you applied for aid? Did you get enough?

Does anyone know if the financial aid letters arrive with the decision?

Did you all apply for financial aid? Seems like they have accepted a lot of intls with fin aid. i know they said they can only have 20 students.. wonder what they thought the yield would be.
i applied for fin aid. got rejected.
congrats everyone who got accepted!

aren't you a US resident? It seems that US residents have not received FEDEX yet.
I didn't apply for FA.
