Regarding an Acting audition

Hi everyone! I auditioned for Carnegie Mellon’s acting program recently. I just want to say right away that if you are a fellow applicant who is as nervous as I am about hearing the impending results, I would advise you not to read my post any further. I’m having mixed feelings about my audition experience, and if anyone had the same experience as me I wouldn’t want anyone to get more stressed out.

ANYWAY: I’m mainly asking any current Carnegie Students/parents, but I only auditioned for one judge. She had good things to say about my work, and I had a very nice conversation with her, she asked me what other programs I’m applying for etc. I know that there’s pretty much never anyway of knowing, and that it’s different for everybody, but if I only saw one of the judges, is that a bad sign? I know that they said at the beginning not to worry about that, but…I feel like we all can’t help but worry about it.

Thanks! Sending all my fellow applicants positive energy!

Hi @IronVoice – I know you’re looking for input from current CMU students/parents, but it’s been a couple days and CMU students are on spring break and actually doing their showcase in NYC tomorrow and Tuesday, so I thought I’d step in and recommend you to this post by @catchastar, who has a child at CMU. <a href=“What was your audition experience like at CMU? - #23 by catchastar - Musical Theater Major - College Confidential Forums”>What was your audition experience like at CMU? - #23 by catchastar - Musical Theater Major - College Confidential Forums;

Thank you so much!

Just wondering, I know not seeing Barbara doesn’t mean you won’t get accepted, but what if you did see Barbara? Is that any sort of indicator?
