regarding AP credit...helpppp!!!

hey!!
i'm starting my first semester at pennstate in january....i;m sposed to take 2 courses of math and phy each..
what i was planning is to deferr those courses and take em in my fall semester(augut 07) and clear them in AP in may07...so by the time i get to those courses i'll be having AP credit for them...

do u think this is possible?

That may be a little risky to do. Let me explain.

If you defer those til Fall 07, you better make sure you have enough courses to take in your major so that you won't be wasting part of the semester by waiting until Fall to take your core classes. Since you wouldn't have gotten credit for those courses til May, you can't take the next level math and phys courses until you have credit for the prerequisites.

Also, what happens if you don't get AP credit? I assumed I'd get credit for French by taking the AP test but it turns out I got a 2, so I had to add French 3 to my Fall schedule at last minute when I found out I didn't get the credit. If you don't get all of the credit you expect, you may become a little behind in your core cirriculum.

It sounds to me that you should really e-mail the advisor of your college to get the best answer. But to end, yes, I think it should be possible, but a little risky at best.
