Regarding AP Physics

Hello, I have AP Physics C in my transcript for both 151/152 (calculus based)

but I will have a really tough sophomore year with orgo, human physi, financial accounting
(I am a business/pre-med)

my question is: can I take physics 141/142 (not calculus based) at my institution just to satisfy my pre-med requirement?

I believe my transferred AP credits will show up on my transcript.

Thank you for your responses!

Medical schools do not require calculus-based physics.

Many (most?) medical schools will not consider AP credits as fulfilling admission requirements.

Haha, I see you go to Emory. you can take 141/142 to satisfy pre-med requirements. I gave up my AP bio credit to retake the intro bio. You don’t need 151/152 for pre-med. I really don’t suggest you take orgo/human physi/and financial accounting all in the same semester unless you are only taking 3 classes that semester. Medical schools also don’t like it if you take a lighter course load for any semester. Try to spread these classes out, but make sure you take at least 4 classes a semester for a minimum of 16 hours a semester. If you do take only those 3 classes, make sure you take 2 p.e classes that same semester for a total of 15 hours that semester. (not much of a difference from 16 hours to 15 hours, from the eyes of an adcom)---- (orgo + orgo lab = 5 hours), (human physi+financial accounting = 8 hours) (2 p.e = 2 hours).
