Hey Guys … I’m from India , currently in class 12th… I want to do my undergrad from California State University … here are the options I’ve considered - Sacramento , Los Angeles , Fullerton… in computer engineering … due to some reason I wasn’t able to take my SAT’s. Do you guys think they will consider the application without sat just based on my Gpa , extracurricular activities and recommendation letters? I’m currently scoring 90% in my exams …
If not what other universities do you think I should consider. Thanks …
CSU is not test-optional for international students. Sorry.
Here is a list of test-optional schools (double check the ones that you are interested in to be sure that they are test optional for international students as well).
.
Thanks for the reply but the link you’ve posted contains all the universities of csu …
CSUs have different requirements for non-California residents – it isn’t clear from this list, but that is the case. You do need test scores.
…which I why I said to check the ones you are interested in! It’s a long list…
You will have to go to the websites – but the list at least shows that the schools on it are test optional for some students.
List says it’s for students who graduated from US high school.
What, exactly, do you want @garvit? A list made just for you? maybe sorted by your interests and scores? As both @intparent and I said, that is a list of possible test-optional schools for you. YOU have to check out the ones that you are interested in to see if ‘test optional’ applies to international students. In other words, do some of the homework yourself. You want to come to the US without have done one of the standard/typical elements of US college applications. Anytime you are trying to do something not the usual way you have to be prepared to put in more work.
Cal State Fullerton/Los Angeles and Sacramento do not require SAT scores for International applicants but state they are highly recommended. Have you taken TOEFL? This is required.
