I know some colleges don't require interviews but strongly recommend those and also they like to have applicants visit their schools.
But what if the applicant cannot visit the schools.
Approximately how much does it hurt their chances?
and is there any webpage where I can find out which college requires this interview?

Many colleges will arrange interviews in your home state, either with an alum who lives there or with an admissions officer who is making regional visits. Some will arrange phone interviews. Call the Admissions office of the college you’re interested in, explain that you can’t visit at this time, and ask.

Try googling “common data set” and the name of the college.
