Regarding the Exeter waitlist update

While there is not any movement on the waiting list presently, this
may change in the coming weeks and months. We hope that you continue
to be interested in Exeter. We would like to keep your application
active and periodically assess your credentials. At this time there
is no need to submit additional materials in support of your
application. We anticipate updating you again in mid-May.

Does this mean I can no longer send updates or examples of the recent work that I wanted to send? Because I was just planning to send something tomorrow...

Since they specifically say “no need to submit additional materials” I would take them at their word and not send anything else. (I’d make an exception if it was a truly significant achievement - i.e. an invitation to join the US Olympic Team, or successful research that showed you had finally found the cure for the common coid.) If you are planning to reapply for 2012, save the materials and submit them with your new application.

Just my opinion . . .

Was this an email you received or snail mail? Also got waitlisted to Exeter…

fourberry; I received the same message as an email.
