Im very confused about this. Most UCs take a max of 70-80 transferable unis.
Since I have more than 80 units, am I able to pick and choose which ones I want to submit?
For example, I have a C in a history course, but have taken others that fulfill that requirement…can i report those and not include the C? Since theyre only asking for 70 units.
Essentially, can I pick and choose which 70 to submit, or am i required to give ALL my transferable units?
Thanks for reposting. Are you units all from community college?
GPA includes ALL UC transferable courses regardless of how many units you have. Many people have 100+ units, and GPA is calculated from those 100+ units.
The 70-80 number is the amount credited toward your degree at the UC. For example, if it takes 180 units to graduate from UCLA, as a transfer you only can count 70 towards that requirement.
On the UC App, you have to report ALL (and I mean ALL) courses you’ve taken at the CC level, regardless of their grade, or if they are or are not UC transferable.
damn that sucks. Yes all my units are from CC. I have been taking extra units to raise my GPA. I was told that I just have to report 70.
Whoever told you that was wrong
Yep, you have to report every single grade. I’m in the same boat so to speak, from a few bad grades I received a long time ago.
Is it a straight C? Or a C-? If it was a C-, you can likely retake the class and the UC will take the newer grade.
