regarding withdrawal

i'm currently enrolled at a university. but i recently found that i wasn't going to recieve enough financial aid to cover the cost for out-of-state tuition...and i've got no way of raising the money till december....would it be a wise decision to withdraw and enroll at a community college...or is it too late to be making that decision...how are applications in terms of deadlines at cc's in cali?

Most CCs already started, but if you feel like its going to be a lot of money, then withdraw and take classes during the winter to make up for lost units. Btw, what school are you in right now?

University of Illinois at Chicago

Are you going to apply to a school in cali?

that's my goal...yeah. i just dont know if my residential status will change if i reside and attend a two year college there first...

also, i want to be a part of this exciting crowd that's making transitions to institutions like ucla etc...

lol, i honestly dont know if it will, it probably wont since it takes YEARS to get residency, but if you do come to cali and do the 30 units required at a CC, you will definately get california cc priority in applications. I dont know about residency though.
