<p>I’m going to OHP in April - just got the notification confirmation.</p>

<p>Is anyone going in April?</p>

<p>My interview is on the 15th in LA - will anyone be there? haha</p>

<p>oh, and someone asked for stats a few pgs back:</p>

<p>GPA: 4.0 UW / 4.5 W (I think?)
Rank: 1/688
SAT: 2060 but ACT was 34
SAT II’s: 800, 730, 700, 670</p>

<p>-Academic Decathlon - medal in speech, award in essay, team’s highest scorer; I think being a part of Acadeca was a big plus cause I spent basically all my time doing it. lol. And the UC’s like Decathletes, from what I can tell..
-Other basic stuff (AP w/distinction, National Merit Letter - not semifinalist or anything)
-Pharmacy Volunteer - 3 years
-Homeless shelter volunteer - 3 months?</p>

<p>-Asian Club, 4 yrs, VP, President now
-Christian Club, 3 yrs VP
-Calif Scholarship Fed
-Ushering for School musicals etc
-p2p summer prog
-Job for 1 year as a tutor</p>

<p>-Piano 12+ yrs</p>

<p>-Public, Music Magnet High School</p>

<p>1st essay was about the environment of our school and how the passion of the students influenced me to become passionate about my dream.</p>

<p>2nd essay was about Asian Club (showed great leadership)</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure I’m missing some stuff cause i can’t really remember…but yeah.</p>

<p>i had my interview on Tuesday and i found out i was accepted! I kinda expected it, but I’m excited anways!!! yay, my first college acceptance!!</p>

<p>At a regents interview , you are asked general questions about yourself…which classes do you like best, your interests, favorite books.
I know its corny advice, but just be real and be yourself.</p>

<p>At interview, did they ask any questions about interest or major? I am afraid that they will ask me some questions about my major, which I dont’ know much about.</p>

<p>Did they tell you right away that you were accepted into the school and that you recvd the Regents?</p>

<p>Although they did tell me, “Congratulation, you have been accepted by UC Berkeley.”, when I looked at my myBerkeleyApplication, it said, “Your application has been received and is In Review
Decisions will be available the evening of 3/27/2008.” Are we really in?</p>

<p>dianmarch2005…i think it does mean we are in because the decisions have been made a while ago, but berkeley post all the decisions at the same time
but you got to remember that there are some applications that are reviewed more than once and some of the people that were borderline and got that supplement paper</p>

<p>most uc post the admissions as they admit people
but berkeley post them all at the same time when they are done</p>

<p>we just got lucky to get nominated for regents and know that we are in earlier than everyone else
if you still dont beleive just wait till the 27th…lol jk</p>

<p>btw, i talked to a current freshman at cal (who is a regents scholar) and she said that last year 600 people interviewed, and 580 got regents</p>

<p>^^^ That’s wierd because the broshure they gave me states that “approximately 200 entering students are awarded the Regents’…scholarship.”</p>

<p>And it also says that about 2000 students are considered. Although some people, for whatever reason, don’t go to the interview, it should be over 600.</p>

<p>Nice_try09: I believe that means that 200 of the students offered the scholarship choose to attend UC Berkeley.</p>
