I think first generation was an important factor. I wonder if the UCs have visibility…so like UCLA sees that you are offered Regents and you are first gen, so they are like…ok…he is taken care of, lets move on to the next deserving candidate. I think geography and ECs are more of a consideration for Berkeley than UCLA (if you are from bay area)</p>
