Regents at UCLA?

Does anyone know what being a Regents scholar entails at UCLA besides the explicitly stated benefits (money, priority registration, etc.)? Does being part of the RSS have any benefit (like more access to professors, volunteer opportunities)? Any input would be appreciated =)

If you have got Regents Scholarship, look at link below for benefits:

Among the UCs, UCLA offers a lot more money than most other UCs - $5500/year. Only one I know that offers more than UCLA is UC Davis Regents @ $7500

UCLA offers more than the $5500 if you're in financial need.
I know that UCI offers tuition +$2000, so approximately $9000

Yeah, uci offers more than ucla. it is great to be a regents scholar at uci, since it offers a lot more money and perks than at ucla.

Doesn't UCLA regent's cover tuition as well? I thought it did.

I am sorry, my $ amount was for merit-based (not need based)
Also, I only know about regents at UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCI and UCD. I am not sure about regents merit awards at other UCs.
