Regents Exams - The Scores

Well as a NYC students, my regents are a factor in my high school transcript. However, I ask how much of a significance does the regents have on college admissions?

This is basically my grades on the regents (the lowest grade).

Lowest score: 86

But anyway, how much will colleges care about the regents scores? Is it only like a High School thing rather then a college one to determine if you get a local/regents/advanced regents diploma?

In the northeast, where admissions know what the regents score represents, yes it is considered.

So on a scale of 100% what percent would you predict regents represent?

I know SAT + GPA represent around 60-70%. How much would regents signify?

Actually, that percentage varies per school. I’d say SAT and GPA are the initial screens, but the actual decision depends on everything else.

Regents count only in NY. In some SUNY schools, you can be exempt or go to a higher level if you score a certain grade on the regents. For example, if you get an 85 plus on the Regents in foreigh lang, you might be exempt; my D’s school says that if you get an 85 or above on the USH regents, you can take a higher level course.

If you get an advanced or even a regular with honors distinction (average of 90 or better), it looks good to NY schools.

As for your numbers, 85 and up is considered mastery level so you are fine.
