Hmmm...interesting questions. I wasn't even asked for my letters of rec (which I had in a very conspicuous file folder). Also...my professor-interviewer took no notes and made no real reference to my original application...~shrugs~

It is definitely awesome to know that we are already admitted though!

i had a male professor...luan...he was super nice...we talked a lot about "diversity"...as in "is your high school diverse?"...lol..."Berkeley is really diverse"...

It was also funny because the prof was a bio-something research fellow...and I applied as a history major...he's like "Well, I don't know much about history...but when I do research in my lab..."

i had luan too, liked him, but my intended major was biology so we connected over that,

he did write anything down or anything, and then at the end i just asked if he wanted my letter of rec, and he was like" yeah, i guess we shoudl put tha tin your file"

i had professor welch. cellular and molecular biology. i don't know how my interview went. i was the last of his interviews for the day, so i can tell he was tired. i'm crossing my fingers!

damn it i wish i had welch. i had goldstein of enviromental science and policy. the interview was very hard I thought. Thank god i'm quick on my feet because the questions they asked were definitely unexpected. It was really funny, when we start the interview, he was like "The purpose of this interview is to convince you to come to CAL. We really want you to be here and we will do anything to get you to come here." THen at the end, he was like "Don't feel bad if you're not an R&C Scholar. Only the top 1% gets it."

I sat there, going, "Aren't you supposed to be convincing me to go here?" Anyway, I'm glad he didn't ask me which other schools I got into, because thaaaat would not be a good question to answer!

jeeze, my interview was super relaxed, unless he was just really discrete about probing my mind....hmmm...

I knew I should have asked about my letters!!! whatever, too late now. when did you go dangerousalibi? grumptious? I assume you two were at the Wilshire? I went on Sunday @ 11.

I thought it was a nice experience, I talked to a couple of students and got a bunch of their "majors" handouts. Is Cal at the top of the list for you, dangerousalibi?

i thought it was fun talking to the students, but my major problem was that i really don't want to go cal, not that it isn't a good school, just i want to go out os state, and cal was the one of two schools i applied to in state to statisfy my parents. my top choice is between brown, dartmouth, and williams pending on where i get in...

I can understand the feeling!! I spent the summer at Harvard for their Summer School Program and I absolutely loved Boston and the East Coast! I visited Berkeley in September and it actually reminded me of Harvard a lot. Hard to explain...just the whole "feel" of the campus...where as Stanford is decidedly "Californian", at least IMO...So I don't know what my top choice is yet, but the whole Regent's "experience" has certainly made a good impression on me!

i had my interview at the wilshire on sunday at 2pm. yeah, although i dream of going to a big name private college (if i get in), financial constraints make me lean toward UCLA or Cal. I don't know if i could give up a near full ride (from regents) from UCLA and Cal to go to a private college and take out hefty amounts of loans. college finances suck!
