Regent's out for UCLA?

I got one from Berkeley, but I'd rather go to UCLA lolll

Is it out for LA already???

yea a long time ago, january 20 something. funny cuz i ddint get one for berkeley but i want to go there!

When were Berkeley's mailed?

Can one receive both? It seems if you got UCLA, you won't get Berkely. Did anyone get both?

Yes..........

could anyone tell me how the UCs notify us of regents? is it via snail mail, email, or on their websites?

UCLA sent the invitations via snail mail. The deadline to apply was yesterday. It appears Berkeley sent them out via email yesterday.

Do you have to apply for the regent scholarship or is it part of the application?

jinl11: yep it is possible; i got both ucla and ucb regents invites
srjcstud: i think everyone who applies is considered for regents and then for ucla you get an invitation to apply (like you're a finalist), and for berkeley you're invited to the interview (Mar 3-5, 10-12)..then for both you find out when admission decisions come out officially online like i think they say "congrats regents scholar" or something like that
but basically i heard that if you are invited to apply for ucla regents you are basically alraedy in the school
and for berk at the interview i think they tell you that you're in :)

I didn't get the UCLA one, does that mean I don't have a good chance of getting in? I got Berkely's but I really want to go to LA

I would guess that if you qualified for one, your chances of simply getting in to the other are very good. I doubt they communicate in any way.

alithyiaiden - Of course not getting regents for UCLA doesn't mean you don't have a good chance of getting in! Do you think that everyone gets a regents offer? The VAST majority who are accepted do not get a merit scholarship of any sort from UCLA.
