I'm pretty sure they do some interviews in Los Angeles. Not sure where else.

Does anyone know if Regents Scholars are chosen by a university wide board or by people in the specific schools you have applied to?

Man, I really hope they're sending this stuff out in waves.. none of my friends have gotten anything even though a bunch of us got invited for UCLA.

Anyone know how to reschedule an interview appointment? I accidentally clicked on the wrong date :o

The bottom of the page says, "You may reschedule your interview here until Friday, February 22nd. You will need to contact the Undergraduate Scholarships Office for any reschedules after this date." However, the link to schedule the interview has magically disappeared and I'm at a loss at how to reschedule.

Anyone? You'd save my life! (Well, that's a bit debatable, but . . .)

Do I've to go for interview or can I decline?

I know some people who just did not show up because they already got into their EA (back in the day) schools. Declining would be more polite.

I JUST GOT IT TOO!!!!!!
I didn't get it for UCLA so I was sooo disappointed but YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

Do you just receive $1000 for being the recipient of the Regents Scholars award if you do not apply for financial aid ?

I haven't gotten the letter yet. I should get it tomorrow right? I hope this isn't a dream. I am constantly pinching myself.

It looks like those who get UCLA invite do not get Berkeley invite, and Berkeley invites don't get UCLA invite. Is there anyone who gets both?

It looks like they are coordinating their invites.

i got both, good luck to the rest of you, maybe they haven't sent all of them out yet?

royz how are your general stats, if you don't mind. sat, gpa, extracurrics....

Yay, I got the Berkeley invite :D I never would have expected this, I imagine I fall under the "extraordinary circumstances" category of admits. I applied to Davis and UCLA, but no Regents for either of those.

To Locke -- I wound up with a physics professor. I guess the point is you'll get someone with whom you can say SOMETHING, even if it's not in your first choice of department ;)

YAY! I got it last night tooo! So i read previous posts in 2006 that at the interview, they tell you that you got into Berkeley. Is this still true for our year??

it's true for every year. regents interview = already decided acceptance.

being OOS sucks.... :(

Ahh i got both ucla and ucb also yay!!

grats to everyone who received notification ^-^

has the socal interview location been released though ? i can't find it on myberkeleyapp ~ and i'm not about to buy plane tickets up to oakland for a 30 minute interview ..

For those of you who asked about selectivity, either 1000 or 2000 get invited to interview every year, and there are somewhere between 800 and 1000 RC Scholars on campus.

For those of you interviewing: I highly recommend you attend OHP. It will be...a very enlightening experience =)
