Regents scholarship? a good sign?

<p>sry if this has been asked before, but i just got the regents scholarship invitation from ucla today in the mail. i checked their website and it says they invite the top 1.5% (800 students?).</p>

<p>anyways, as a rule of thumb, does this mean i have a really good chance (if not an almost guaranteed chance) that i will get into ucla? i heard this from a couple of people, one of whom is attending ucla, but im kind of skeptical.</p>

<p>and just some stats…
i have 2300 sat and a 4.3ish gpa (dunno my uc gpa), i’m elc in a really competitive high school, and my extracurrics are alright, but not amazing or anything.</p>

<p>Sweet! If you got a regents to UCLA, I seem to remember your in. You should do a search. It seems early though...</p>

<p>Invitation basically has nothing to do with your admission status...</p>

<p>I still think you should do a search & see how it turned out for others. The odds must be good if the invite only goes to the top percents.</p>
