Hey, based on the people who have gotten Regents, what GPA ranges would you say are good bets for getting offers at the various UCs, from, say, UCLA/Berkeley, to SC/Merced? What about ECs? How about grades, can someone get Regents with one C? What about if they've had academic renewal? I'm trying to find out what kind of stats are expected of applicants looking for Regents or other merit-based scholarships.

That is a tough question to answer, as the different campuses probably have different criteria I should think.

I got Regents for Irvine and UCLA, but not from Riverside for example, and that is with a 4.0 and all the other stuff like EC’s and work experience.

^congrats global

I’m trying to check right now. I wish my college wifi wasn’t so damn slow

It is kind of difficult to answer as it depends on the campus. For UC Davis, you have to have a 3.8 or above and submit a letter of recommendation, without the letter you aren’t considered for Regents. For Santa Cruz, I actually haven’t heard of them giving Regents to transfer students, but they do offer a Merit Scholarship, which if you have financial need is up to $3,000 (split over two years).
I got Regents to Davis with a 3.9 GPA, and some other people with perfect GPA’s didn’t get it, so I would say they do look at EC’s and the letter itself is weighed pretty heavily.
