<p>Are UC applicants invited to apply for the Regents Scholarship (at some point), or are Regents Scholarships just handed out to certain applicants with their acceptance letters?</p>
<p>It depends on the school. For Cal and I believe UCLA as well they send notification that you are being considered in February. For those, you have to interview. For the other schools, I believe they send notification with your acceptance letter.</p>

<p>Berkeley has interviews. UCLA has an application process (at least it did three years ago).</p>
