<p>Out of curiosity, who here has received invitations to apply for the regents scholarship so far?</p>

<p>Did they stop sending them out yet? I heard someone at our school received the invitation, but I was wondering if they send the notice out in waves.</p>

<p>My son received his in the mail a week or two ago.</p>
<p>I would imagine they would all have to be out soon since the deadline to have everything in is February 11th I believe.</p>
<p>Does receiving this invitation means that you will be admitted?</p>
<p>I’m not sure. I’ve “heard” yes and no, but he has not received any notification that he’s been admitted.</p>

<p>It’s not an official admittance, but if they have decided you’re in the top 1.5% now then it seems likely that you’ll make the top ~20% in March. If you make a change to your application it’s possible they’ll reconsider, depending on the nature of the change.</p>
<p>^Yeah, but didn’t some people who got Regents invite last year get rejected? There was a thread about it. Plus, some people who got Regents also got the supplemental questionnaire. There definitely seems to be something strange going on with Regents and I really wouldn’t take it as unofficial acceptance this year.</p>
