Yeah, I got letters from both UCLA and UCB.

SAT was 2270...

Yeah, I got letters from both UCLA and UCB.

SAT was 2270...

If you get Regents & Chancellor's Scholarship you are in. And yes transfer students can also be awarded this scholarship.

same here, i got both UCLA AND UCB
SAT was 2300

would my acceptance and maybe scholarship be affected by major change?
I'm thinking about changing to industrial engineering from L&S.
it's not what you think. i really was unsure about my major, and still unsure. but now with this "likely" letter, I want to switch.

SAT: 2370
GPA: 4
SAT IIs: chem 800 bio 800 mathIIc 800

i'm not sure if it's based completely on scores tho, because kaka22 got a 2350...

I am sure it's not based completely on scores because I got a 2020 on SAT

Are the emails still coming out? :(

If you didn't get the email today, does that mean that you won't be competing for the scholarship?

I got UCLA Regents letter, but not Berkeley. :( I have low SAT scores though, and I got a questionnaire, from Berkeley, so I can't expect too much.

reppin that 2090 and 33 on the ACT

but anyway lets ask a better question...i remember reading on the UCLA regent thread that one student actually didn't get into UCLA even though they were invited to apply for the regent scholarship. Has anyone heard this happen at cal?

the only way acceptance would be revoked is if you do not maintain a 3.0 GPA second semester.. other than that.. you're garanteed in. yay. i got regents last year with a 2011 so it's not all about SATs... the interview is HUGE.. because a lot of my friends didn't get regents after the interview even though they had better stats than me.

really, interview is huge? it's only 30 min though, would anyone like to share some questions about the interview?

after the first review from your application and your notification of regents invitation, the actual decision of whether you get regents or not is based all on the interview i believe so.

as for interview questions.. it's very casual.. like any interview you would go to. just restate what you're passionate about and what you've done that proves you deserve it.

For Regents do they require you to have E.C. Verification or anything like that.

nope E.C verification is not needed.

I'm just wondering. Did you recipients receive a letter in the mail or an email from Berkeley?

they send u an e-mail telling u that they've sent u a letter.

nope E.C verification is not needed.
Sweet, cause I got no way to get any verification.

So, it's only an interview. Does anyone know what its like?

Lol, I was reading the letter in the packet, and this one stood out:
"Congratulations! You have been selected to interview for the Regents' and Chancellor's Scholarship at the University of California, Berkeley. This top ranked university wants you based on your outstanding academic record and leadership potential.
I don't know, the whole "this top ranked university wants you" reminded me of "Uncle Sam wants YOU." hahah.

So if you didn't get an email or letter by now it means no regents for you? :(

i guess not my duaghter only had a 1990 on sat so i guess she won't get one......
