Regents

ucla extended deadline to the 20th? someone on the previous page mentioned that. I went back to check and it was still the 16th.

Is regents for in state applicants only?

...I only got one from Irvine
gpa: 4.4
sat: 2220
sat 2s: 800/800
female, chemical engineering...
=[

how come irvine sent out admission emails so early this year?

regents isn't only for in-state applicants. however, only in-state applicants are offered the chance to interview. OOS applicants, who are invited for Regent's, are evaluated solely on their application.

I only applied to Berkeley and SD and got Regents letters for both.
Numbers: 4.3+ UC GPA, 2340 SAT, 35 ACT, 800/780/770 subject tests

One of my buddies who got a 2380 did not get one, though, so I think ECs bear some weight.

wait ucsd already sent out regents?

i only got berk and LA invitation

I concur, madamebovary. I have not gotten Regents from UCSD or UCI yet.

I haven't heard of UCSD sending out Regents' letters.

I haven't either.. however, I did receive an invitation from UCSD to attend UCSD Scholars Day on Fri. Mar. 9. It says it's for the top freshman applicants. I was wondering if this translated to the Regents or not.. I guess I'll have to wait a few weeks to find out.

Supposedly the Regents scholars are selected from among those invited to Scholars Day... which makes sense because the top 5%ish of each college is invited to Scholars Day.

Bingo.

Well... I was wondering what the SATs were like of some of the other people who got the Regents offer?

Im assuming Im on the lower end with my non-composite 1990, but I was absolutely shocked when someone else at my school got the Regents offer with an 1850.

2300 right here homie

Cal really doesn't care much about SAT.
GPA is way more important, even SATIIs are more important
and i think Cal actually read your essay to determine regent

SAT IIs???? That's really hard to believe.

it's really true, i read it in one of the reports published by Cal (Stats?) professor

Ok. I need to get this clear. Should we wear a TIE or NO TIE?? Also, due to the closers of a plethora of streets for the LA Marathon it appears that we will have to walk aprox. 2 miles after exiting the 110 freeway to get there because they do not allow any traffic in. o_O Someone update me on this situation plz!!

Ok i am going to continue this discussion on a NEW thread so please post there people. This is important for everyone getting to Downtown area for REgents interview
