hey guys im thinking about retaking two of my regents ... both which were below 90 ... but i cud only retake them in january ... and in january .. im taking a sat ii ... regents are only in ny ... so do they even look at our regents ?? ... shud i retake them? or shud i just study for my sat ii and leave my regeents grades

well I knw severa kids at my school that retook them over the summer, boosted their overall GPA/class rank. The colleges do get your mid term reports and the new test scores are put on that. So it would depend on what your school does with them hwo they factor them into your GPA/class rank. They look at your regents more as what a final exam would indicate versus regents quality, makes a difference for SUNY schools. OVerall I think if you are getting a Regents diploma with distinction anyway even without the retake, if your applying to SAT II required schools that would be more important getting a higher score, if not SAT II required then the regents retake would boost your rank/GPA
