OHH YEA AND I RETOOK THE SAT FIND OUT RESULTS ON THE 25th

First, turn off the caps lock. Yelling in forums is considered bad form.

Second, what "Reginaldo Heraldo" scholarship? Do you mean the Reginald Howard Scholarship that Duke offers? If so, the competition is probably very stiff (like every other merit scholarship Duke offers to incoming freshmen) as there are only 5 scholarships available each year.

Have you looked at the Reginaldo Howard Scholarship's website? There's not much information on there regarding chances, but it could be informative.

Otherwise, I would imagine that with so few of these scholars, the only way you'll find out more is if you can somehow track down one who's willing to talk to you about their experiences.

The 2011 scholars on the scholars page ( Untitled Document ) have their emails listed. Perhaps you can contact them directly. I wonder who the 2012 scholars where. I know my D was not selected. We thought Duke was a "reach" for her. She met many students at BSAI and other "invitationals" for Black students that where WAY more competitive than she, and whose reaches were Ivies. I wouldn't be surprised if Duke offers those scholarships to Black kids who would otherwise be heading for Ivies.
