Ok, so the other day my guidance counselor told me that the regional director for Penn called specifically about me, but she didn't say why she was calling in the message. He later got an email from her asking him when the best time to contact him was. I'm just curious if this is reason to worry? I was accepted to Penn ED, so I'm binded to Penn. Also, I got all A's first semester of senior year and third quarter I had all A's and a B. I also am sure that I sent in my midyear. Any ideas as to why she may be calling?

Perhaps they want to verify some of the ECs you listed? I’ve heard that some colleges do random checks by calling GCs.

Ya, but if I was accepted 5 months ago as a ED kid, wouldn’t they have filed away my app? What reason would they have to go back through and randomly check on it now?

Do you have anything to worry about? If there is nothing major in your closet, then I don’t think there is anything to worry. It might just be that they are thinking of giving you award or scholarship or something like that.

^ Oh, right. Sorry I missed that haha. Like ttparent says, I wouldn’t worry about it unless you are hiding something! (Which I’m sure you aren’t, right? :D)

When you find out, let us know! I’m kinda curious, now. :)

Did you ever find out why they called your GC?

Oh yeah I want to hear what they wanted as well!
